Ghetto Life

You need some happy-vation? Go ahead:

#12 Thankfulness
Write down a list of what you're  thankful for (and then put on your favorite song and have a nice dance at your place).

#13 Don't give a F#!&
My best friend calls it 'Ghetto Life'. Whenever something bad happens, you feel awkward, stressed out and things just don't go your way, you say 'Whatever. Ghetto Life!' and just laugh about it. Try it for a day and you will see, that some problems seem bigger than they actually are. It will also give you self confidence :) (Be like Tom)

Scream and shout and let it all out!

Here I am again, looking for reasons that will make you happy

#9 Uplifting Music
Nothing better than putting your favorite tune on after waking up. In case you don't have one yet, just search for "uplifting music" on the net.
Some songs that make me GROOVE in the morning are:
*Matthew West - Hello, my name is
*Lecrae - All I need is you
*Jamie Grace - Beautiful Day
*Sara Bareilles - Brave
*Mandisa (feat. Toby Mac) - Good Morning
*Needtobreathe - Let us love
*Mercy Me - Move

#10 Writing a diary...FOR SOMEONE ELSE!
Everyone needs a real deep conversation from time to time. Last year I received a handwritten diary from a friend, which he wrote for some months, before handing it over to me. There were just his thoughts on many areas of life, his struggles, happiness, funny reminders of what we did together and what he thought in particular situations about me, that i never knew about. E.g. "That day you seemed to be in bad mood and not willing to talk to anybody..what was wrong??? Are you angry with me??"
- It was awesome to read it, so I started to write one for him.. It makes double fun to write down what's in my head, because I know he will read it and we will talk about it, which will inspire us to new thoughts or actions! :-)

#11 CHANGE YOUR THOUGHTS
One of my friends, who did a therapy, told me about this technique she learned: If you're having a bad thought, write it down, thing about it and turn it into a good one, because what we see in this world and what we feel, is a reflection of the thoughts in our brain! E.g. you think ,,Everyone i angry with me and hates me." and change it into "Not everyone is angry! Only this one person. And they don't hate me, they are just angry about this one thing I did."
Changing your thoughts will help you a lot with changing your whole attitude.

No-Nutella and the Movies

Today I faced the first "challenge" about my no-chocolate resolution for 2015, by being faced with substances that may or may not count as Chocolate. I decided to not consume the following, as they might become my "excuse food":
*Nutella *anything Cocoa related

#7 COMMUNITY
Surround yourself with people. The bigger the group, the more fun! Just invite or meet some friends you have or have not seen lately. Sharing experiences and memories and laughter will be the outcome. If you're crazy, invite random people and spend time in a totally new mixed group :-)

#8 MOVIES
If all else fails to make you feel good today, just end the day with a nice movie of your choice!

Get Your Happy On! ..*6 Reasons to be happy*

The 1st of January 2015 didn't start the way I planned to: Waking up early, being productive as never before. Actually I woke up late, being tired from the night before, and barely able to motivate myself to get out of bed and do anything.
But hey I commited this year of my life to daily happiness without chocolate, so this kind of forced me to get up and go look for something to make me haaapppyyyy. And that's what I found during the day:

#1 A HOT CUP OF TEA/COFFEE
Nothing better than to start your day with tea or coffee...It makes me feel fresh and ready to start the day.

#2 GET STYLED
I don't know how far this may work for men, but for me as a woman it works pretty well. I felt so discouraged to follow my duties today, so I decided to pick out the most beautiful outfit I could find, get my hair and nails done and put festive (but not too festive) make up on. Once you feel pretty from the inside, it will make you feel a whole lot better on the inside.

#3 START
Start a new project or something you wanted to do in a long time. I know this sounds so easy, but is so hard to do...I mean: Where the heck does the motivation to get started hide itself? I cannot give you a better advice than to BE A TOUGH BITCH AND PROVE IT. Just stop your self-pity party and get that sweet ass up and just START. You know that once you start, it will a) be easy to continue b) will make you feel good!

#4 FORGET
Forget about shit of the past, forget about the bumpy road that lies in front of you this coming year or your life, forget the words "can't" and "don't" and "won't"and just think about awesome things in your life. Once you forget about what is hard, it won't control you anymore, but you will control it by all your optimism and it will be so much easier to fight it or live with it. Everyone has problems, but that shouldn't stop you from doing fun stuff and being happy.

#5 RESOLUTION
..not resolutionS. Don't plan a million things you want to accomplish this year, because you won't do them anyway. It will just make you feel bad, once you realise, that it's impossible to get everything on your list done. Just plan ONE thing for this year...one thing that will challenge you, but is possible to reach. Everyone knows, how it motivates mankind to have a goal. PS: My goal this year is to "Not touch chocolate, but instead find other ways to be happy (at least one reason a day)".

#6 TRUST GOD
Know that God loves you and wants the best for you. He has planned an awesome life for you, all you need to do, is to TRUST Him...and I mean seriously trust Him with all your heart. Once you feel like the weight of the world is on your shoulders, just tell God to make your shoulders stronger and lead you towards your happiness. I mean, which parents wouldn't plan the best for their child, if they were almighty?

Happy Year Without Chocolate

Craaaaaaazy! I haven't been posting since 2013! I don't know, why I didn't come back to my blog, though I was thinking about it quite some times. Okay, I had another blog about my travels, which kept me busy. But I'm back :-)

I decided to make 2015 my "Happy Year Without Chocolate" HYWC!
What does that mean? I break up with my chocolate-obsession (everytime I'm in bad mood: "Only Chcolate can help me now!") and start to look for other things, that make me HAPPY.
So basically I will post at least "one reason to be happy" each day, until there will be 365 reasons for happiness! I'm excited about this journey, because I already now imagine all the challenging days where my mood will be like

I hateeeeeeeeeeeee everyyyyythiiiiingggg and everrrryyyyyyyyonnnee...

and I'm curious what kind of happy thing I will find on these days. Join me on my journey :-)
